Blackmagic Design today announced that London's Lexhag Visual Effects has used Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K, ATEM M E Production Studio 4K and DaVinci Resolve Studio to develop solution that has revolutionized its 3D tracking capabilities... The system, of view, has already been used on several projects, including Netflix television series, The Innocents... it's imperative to obtain as much information from set as possible, says owner of Lexhag, Alexis Haggar.. To manage the logistics of capturing multi-source footage, the system comprises four Micro Studio Camera 4Ks, paired with fast primes and set up in array with the camera. Using ATEM, Lexhag team can genlock each camera and synchronize in for ultimate control. Once shot, all the synchronized dailies footage from the system feeds into DaVinci Resolve Studio for data wrangling and output to frame based media sequence.. It has been such success that we're now looking into expanding the system even further, including testing how the addition of more arrays can help us with volumetric capture for reality applications, Haggar conclude.. Blackmagic Design creates the video editing products, digital film cameras, color correctors, video converters, video monitoring, routers, production switchers, disk recorders, waveform monitors and time film scanners for the feature film, post production and television broadcast industries.
