Microsoft unveiled its new Surface Pro and Surface Laptop yesterday, and one thing that probably slipped under the radar is that the new devices will ship with Windows Home. This is surprising move considering that Surface Pro shipped with Windows Pro, while Surface Laptop shipped with Windows S Mode and with free upgrade to Pro.. But only the consumer versions of Surface devices will ship with Windows Home. Enterprise users will be able to purchase business versions of the two devices with Windows Pro, and they'll be more expensive. Surface Pro for Business will start at $999 , while Surface Laptop 2 for business will start at $1,199. The price difference can be explained by the more Windows Pro SKU, and also because business versions will also include Microsoft's Advanced Exchange warranty at no additional cost.. Both versions of Surface Pro and Surface Laptop 2 are already available to pre-order on Microsoft Store, and will start shipping on October in select markets.
