Apple plans to discount the price of iPhone XR models Japan by offering subsidies to Japanese carriers, out this morning. said the price decreases on iPhone models could come as early as next week, citing sources familiar with Apple's sales in the region... The decision comes in the wake of WSJ report earlier this week that claimed Apple has slashed production orders for its iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR models due to lower-than-expected demand.. Part of the problem for Apple is that iPhone 8 is still hugely Japan because of its affordability, given that it's cheaper than XR and was still available when Apple launched XS and XS Max.. According to WSJ's sources, Apple suppliers have also resumed making iPhone X, the 2017 model that Apple no longer sells at its own stores. By swingeing production cuts, chain sources who spoke to WSJ claim the resumption of iPhone X production is due to Apple's need to use OLED panels ordered from Samsung panels that were earmarked for use in iPhone XS and XS Max devices that have since been hit... The prices are too high to justify the phones, financing masked the high cost to some degree and Xs and Xs Max are so expensive, its lot even if you finance them over two years.. iPhone XS and XR are not worth the upgrade for many over iPhone or 8 as the only things that are improved are the camera and the screen. Here in Netherlands you'll be registered for having outstanding loan making iPhones way less attractive for people. What surprises is me that, despite Tim Cook being businessman obviously waaaay smarter more experienced than me, even I know that Apple needs to come up with some kind of iPhone to connect with more buyers overseas.. The screens on iPhone XS, XS Max and XR are the best you can get, if you want accurate display.
