Apple's iPhone XR was the best selling iPhone in U.S during the quarter despite the fact that it was not released until the end of October, according to data shared today by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners.. iPhone XR accounted for 39 percent of sales during Apple's first quarter 2019. iPhone XS and XS Max, meanwhile, accounted for 26 percent of iPhone sales... Combined, iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max accounted for 65 percent of all iPhone sales, compared to 61 percent for iPhone, 8 Plus, and X in the year-ago quarter.. iPhone XR almost matched combined sales of iPhone and 8 Plus at the time least year, and it represented the largest share for single model since iPhone CIRP's historical data.. Now iPhone prices increase from $50 to $200 for storage, depending on the phone model and the size of the storage. The percentage of iPhone buyers who paid up for increased storage grew to 38% this quarter from 33% in the quarter. Apple lowered its earnings guidance for the first quarter of 2019 due to iPhone sales and has cut iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max for January to March quarter.. Apple customers that purchased iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple Watch during October to December 2018 period... Considering XR offers lot of the same features as XS, I think it's one of the smartest buys in iPhone lineup right now.
