Shazam has started to warn users of upcoming changes to the way their data will be handled following the acquisition of the music recognition service by Apple, with data being transferred to iPhone producer's servers and maintained under Apple's privacy policies, rather than Shazam itself... Appearing just two months the in Shazam and warning on Shazam website advises of changes to the service, if the user has Shazam account.. The notice, spotted by iGeneration both iOS and Android versions of the app, appears complete with Apple's privacy logo and button to instantly agree with the changes.. Users are told by the notice that their data will move to Apple and will be governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and industry leading commitment to user privacy.. Delete Account button at the bottom of the page.. If requested, the account is removed and data associated with Shazam erased, including the email address Facebook ID, and any data shared with the service via Facebook. Shazams will remain in the app, and they will not synchronize between devices, and will not be accessible if the app is uninstalled then reinstalled... While analytics logs for Shazam usage wo not be erased, the logs wo not be identifiable once the account is deleted.. The acquisition by Apple, to have cost the company estimated $400 million. Considering the integration with Siri it's that Apple will use the technology behind the service to bolster its other products...
