iPhone XR's launch yesterday revealed it to be value proposition for those wanting to buy one of Apple's 2018 iPhone models, giving the majority of features found in iPhone XS models and at lower cost. iPhone XS, update to iPhone X, is joined by larger 6.5-inch iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR, new $749 6.1-inch model that we suspect will be big seller.. It has A12 Bionic, 6.1-inch rounded edge display that covers most of the front face, glass back design for wireless charging, Face ID, Dual Sim, IP67 water resistance, and 12MP with Smart HDR and Portrait mode... Getting into the differences, the one you'll notice first is the price tag, with iPhone XR costing $250 less than XS and $350 less than XS Max. iPhone XS offers 512GB model, and it's not for the budget minded, with price tag of either $1349 or $1449 depending on screen size... While both phones have the brightness, the deeper blacks of OLED displays allow them to support HDR content, whereas XR doesn't.. XR has IP67 splash, water, and dust resistance as iPhone X, rated for 30 minutes of submersion at depth of meter. Surprisingly, XR has the life out of the bunch, likely and lower display resolution compared to XS Max.. Apple added nice looking option to the flagship models, and that does not even come close to White, Black, Coral, Yellow, Blue, and Product RED colors offered with XR.. You do not get the same shine and high end feel in the hand that the stainless steel iPhone XS affords, except the aluminum anodized housing of XR will last longer if you use your phone without case...
